a true story

So, I'm stuck in traffic..

Horrendous traffic...

Something beeps, and this warning sign pops up.

I panic, well sort off. I sent a picture via BB messenger to my friend in SHJ (he owns tons of rental cars and knows its mechanisms inside out). He laughs out loud and tells me what to do. I drive to a gas pump. An attendant walks over. I point to the sign. He fills the tires with some air, and checks their pressure. Hands him 20 bucks. He smiles, puzzled. I drive away - never ashamed, and head held high!

The End.

seriously rosh? i mean, seriously?

the damn light has been on in my car for five months now. because the electronic valve on one of the tyres broke and had to be replaced with one that didnt have a sensor. im living with that orange light till the 28th of this month when i buy myself two new tyres for $900. and give $20 in tip. =P

but yeah, your story was more tragic than mine. you could also try reading the manual that comes with the car. just saying.

Hems, yes, seriously, it was surreal! :) The instruction manual.hmm..yes., shoved somewhere inside the glove compartment, where it shall remain for eternity.

El, lol, that's the ONLY sign I know :)

Funny thing is, a few years ago car manufacturers came up with these "universal" signs for car related issues, one being that there tire pressure sign.

They were invented so that "even a moron would know what it was" as a mechanic once told me.

1st time I saw it, I didnt know what the hell it was either. So you see the car makers really did their job well!

You should see the one for when your motor takes a dump. It looks like a single family house taking a pee. The oil level one is ok though.

Jayne, you're the real deal! You see things in ways, most girls today, do NOT/ cannot. Thank YOU :)

Rose, I didn't that about Einstein? Interesting...I'm not ashamed you know :)

Rationality. I spoil / pamper her silly :)

u(b), I've just had her for a few months. My brother drove her up to Toronto, twice and to DC, once in the Summer. I've been driving upstate on client meetings past few weeks. Hence, surprised at the sign. It's new.

These things change oil once very 10K miles or an year, whichever comes first.., I think. I LOVE to drive. I know nothing beyond about cars :D

Anyhooooo, in my (possibly weak) defence, most friends in this city and in their 30's DO NOT drive i.e. they have never driven a car. Before reaching out to the Sharjawi, I called a few friends. Nobody knew what that darn sign meant. Guesses, ranged from - engine 'stalling', no gas, no washer fluid, an open door (or an open window), LIGHTS and 'something must be stuck somewhere'!

You do know if you open the glove box, and flip through the car's manual, all those lights are explained, yes? lol.
