much love

Despite the cooking lessons and more, I've not 'developed' beyond the burnt toast, jam and the coffee phase -- yes, I am 'challenged', with cooking. Hence, the primary survivor instinct in this city -- make friends with folks (read, mostly women) who are brilliant cooks. Despite the drama & diva DNA, they whip up the most amazing stuff effortlessly. This weekend a couple of girls baked a birthday cake for a close common friend. It was sort of girly looking thing, however pretty well made. Someone had a slice of the 'bitch' (the cake). It was delicious, so good - almost evil. Here's the before picture.

Ahlan El, welcome to my blog. Glad you like it. On seeing the cake, everybody laughed out loud. The cake was delicious, and was shared with a few very close friends. Good times.

If I were still in the Sandpit, I would've had one done saying "Happy Birthday Skank!" for Kaya & she would've cracked up! :-)

Nice to see you back again rosh :-)

I miss kaya terribly & have to make do with chatting on skype of msn once in a while. Lulu lives about 350km me but I literally haven't had chance to see her *sigh*
Kaya is off to that big country to the north of you, y'know, the one that has a whole heap of white stuff (snow) every year. She'll be starting a new life bless her :-)
I do miss the gals rosh & I also miss the Sandpit, but I wouldn't rush back. It spoilt me in many ways & I sometimes sound like a 'When We'.................

*sigh*
Only 101 weeks to go before I leave!
