fall is in the air

It's Fall again, I am starting to feel that chill in the air. It lifts spirits and helps place a few aspects of life in perspective. Pretty soon it's time to go from sweaters to bringing out the coats and hats, gloves and boots. Yet there is something so calming and tranquil around this time. Not much else to say that hasn't been said before. I love this time of the year. I hope it stays on and colours up people's days & lives.

Past few months have been a weee bit crazy - work & travels and a few other issues, mostly in my head - nothing serious :) I seem forgetful, than usual. Last Saturday, I spend about 20 minutes looking for keys all over the apartment. Realizing I was running late for dinner with friends, I decided to continue search when back. Rushing out the door - viola! Just realized, I left 'em on the door back from work last evening! I am getting old heh. I can hear mom's thoughts across the oceans, "get hitched!"

Hay you long time no read.. when I saw your new post on the side bar of my blog.. I got excited.. its like hearing from an old friend..
Yes I love fall but when you actually see the sesons change here in Jeddah you dont see that.. its one of the things I miss since coming back.. I used to love take drives to vermont or mont blanc just to see the different colors of the leaves changing.. wearing swetears and fall coats and a light scarve.. here if I see a coat I start feeling too warm just by looking at it bec of the heat out side.. its too sunny in Jeddah..
anyways nice to read for you again.. amd I know nice to be back again in the blogsphere I really really missed it.

Foliage is breathtaking - I am contemplating driving over to Maine,VT, NH this weekend. It's been quite busy at work since summer. Thank for your kind words again, nice to hear from ya :)

Rosh,
Are you thinking of getting hitched? Or did you have a near-engagement experience during your hiatus from the blog? I know I'm reading between the lines here, but you seem to mention marriage from time to time. Was just wondering if you're thinking about it or wishing for it.
In any case, lovely post. In New Hampshire we had a magnificent Fall; the colors were amazing.

lol Mr BuJ...drop me a note on your "visit". I shall have coffee, milk and cookies ready :)

Thanks Sealife, for all that high praise :) I should write more often...I must. I shall try.

3azab, welcome to my blog. So, how old are you now?

lol tobasco... ummm..que sera sera.... :)

Hi Frances! So good to hear from you! Hope you folks are well settled at NH. I can imagine the brilliant foliage across New England - and you folks are right in the midst of it all...must be awesome waking up to all that everyday! And nice to be back for foliage after past few years at AUH. Re: your Q..yes, there's truth to it, I suppose. Am still trying to find myself, and figure life. I guess it's a bit of both, wishing & thinking - and some wishful thinking :) But hey! never know what the immediate future holds.

rosh you should make a habit of leaving your keys in the door. there's a high likelihood that a hot chick may ring on ur doorbell, to point out you've left them in the door. It's an effective way of skipping the first stages of dating by them coming straight to your door!

Not that I get the impression you like to hurry things ;-)

am just being cheeky with this strategy, of course...:)

haha!

haha lol i* you cheeky minx :) Trust me, I've got girls coming down even with the door locked and bolted! hahaha! It's NYC girl, often there are no inhibitions, what-so-eva!

Look out Rosh, Buj is onto you!

Great to see you back after so long! I am waiting for the weather to drop below twenty so I can pull out my fluffy white jacket that I bought for Berlin last year! Contemplating a ski vacation in Lebanon...any signs of snow in NYC?

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL@theshineyshoes&key

OHHHHHHHHH Roshy, don't worry about your brains deteriorating. Thats normal. Everyday I search for my sunglasses, and they are always on my head. I drive back home to pick up the car keys that I forgot (yeh right, why is the car running). Do you think this happens because I have a habit of getting up in the middle of the night and eating things like cold roast potatoes from the fridge? Or is the potato eating a result of the same mental issues?

No idea and don't really care. I can still blog, so something is beeping in there.

Dear Rosh,

The matchmaking lady was here beta, and she has left behind some pictures of good girls. Beta I am getting old, and I want to see my grandchildren nefore I go.
Puttar, I am sending you 24 pictures . Please select one. It is for your own good. I feel left out in my kitty parties when I cant say bad things about my bahu.
Lots of duas

Hey Rosh - if you ever come north please consider stopping by our place in NH. We'll have the hot cider ready for you.
It was indeed a breathtaking Fall but now there's frost on the ground in the morning. Wallah it's freezing! People keep telling me if I'm cold now I'm in for it this winter...
Re sorting things out, I remember that was not always easy. We have so many filters and so many expectations from other people/society swirling around in our heads, it's often hard to know what we really want. My unsolicited advice: take your time and listen to your gut instincts. If people who love you tell you you're on the wrong track, take them seriously but be true to yourself. It's your life. Good luck my friend.

I just noticed, other than the immaculately polished shoes, that we share the same flat number.

Ha! Sinjab, Mr BuJ is onto everyone these days! Nope, no snow yet, though a few flurries every now and then. I actually prefer winter and fall to Summer :)
