This morning on my way to work, I popped into the BR store at Grand Central to purchase a shirt. The one I was wearing didn't feel right..no reason. Whilst in the queue to the cashier some gorgeous stuff (right there in that picture) caught my fancy. I admit to staring at them more than I should have, definitely captivating. I am referring to those pair of gold necklaces hanging on that bar at the counter, of course.

I was in two minds on posting this one -- but hey what the hell, did it anyway.
Yup I need to work out a bit. I don't run as much as I'd like to in the summer. It's been hot and humid the past several days. NYC is horrible in the Summer. I don't even know why tourists show up in this city? My shirt was fine. I just didn't feel like wearing blue, so bought a white shirt at the store, put it on and walked out. Yes I do the sort of silly things every week!

rosh, I've been on diet for more than a month now, I swear Im starving now, thankfully I lost the kilgrams I gained, the type of food at work is not good and helps gaining weight, but I managed to cut out the kilpgrams I put on over months at work. I'm 55 kgs again. I don't wanna lose more cause I feel Im gonna die if I continue going on diet. My program is simple, just don't have a breakfast, have a salad for lunch(you can mix it with chicken slices,to make it filling), for dinner, drink Laban or have yougurt. In summary, starving yourself is the best way to lose weight fast, I know it's not healthy, so that's the reason why I'm taking Omega 3 fatty acids along with my losing wieght diet.
Now do u know what's going on at home? My sisters and lil neice are eating from Macdonalds, imagine how cruel this could be..
Exercise. In addition to a healthy diet, like salads with some meat and lots of liquids -- exercise is the only right way to lose weight and get back in shape.
3 simple everyday ways:
1 Walk. Walk as much as you can.
2 Climb stairs where / whenever possible.
3 Swim -- at least 30 mins. Very effective
Stay away from Rice. It's the Voldemort of the calorie clan.
Rose, a few women I know in this city, love to eat food. However, they are scary thin, almost bulimic. How you ask? Well..the finger goes down the throat. Yes it's horrible what a few women do to look thin. But they don't realize they also look sick / unwell.
I've never understood why some folks are unable to spend 30 mins -just 30 minutes to exercise a day.
Man, you should request your sisters to stay away from McD's. That's not food lol! Replace with a shwarmah minus the paste thingy, if you'd like to indulge. My younger brother is blessed with fantastic genetics / metabolism. He can swallow the Titanic and still look like Ashton Kutcher. I just wish he'd take a bath more often. Oh well.
Hmm, interesting looking necklaces. You should've taken more photos so that we study their design.

You know my good friend just spend $20K (like Dhs 80,000) to have Luminaire teeth. She also plans to make an "investment" (her words) similar to in this picture.

Sometimes you just CANNOT resist the full of fats/sugar/carbs food, like the few pieces of Baqlawah I had a while a ago (I was starting my diet then), I had to stick my finger to throw it up :]
I excersize alot, I run stairs back and forth until I'm flat on the ground. Then I have the excersizing bick, I stay on it for 5 minitues and then have a rest then go on for anoher five minyutes and so on. sometimes I walk, but the really effective excersie is climbing stairs, I tryed it my self, very good for the thighs area, it makes you lose wiegh quicly.

Oh it's been ages since I had rice. You know uaeians have rice for lunch almost everyday, despite my love to Bariani and Machboos, I have been away from rice for so long now.
I wish if there is a way in which I could eat whatever I feel like but without any weight gain.

Yes, rice dishes are huge favourites in the UAE. My mom goes all out Martha Stewart often. It's hard to resist.

Rose, I just re-read your comment at 11:57. I appreciate the courage and the simplicity in you for being honest. My 2 fils, please, do not do that. It does not help you or your body in anyway. Before we realize this sort of thing can become a habit, like smoking. Enjoy the Baqlawah, preferably in the mornings or during the day, so the body has more time and effort to burn off the cals. You are tall, so 55 kilos is normal or below. Steffi Graf was 59 Kilos :) Monica Seles was 75 Kilos after she came back from the stab incident. So, please, exercise, eat healthy and do enjoy the guilty pleasures.
BTW, I have spoken with my friend in length on her craze for Luminaire, but she and more than some folks I know are hooked on to them. They look insanely white, and looks FAKE from a mile and a 1/2, sort of like Paula Adbul's crazy wide fake flash.
As for her investment, I suggested she put that into her retirement savings plan and got no where. And she isn't some Britney wannabee, but a double Masters with a CPA, in a Senior Finance role for a global conglomerate. So, I ain't even going there, coz it's like talking to a wall when it comes to some women folk.

Those few times can easily turn into much more, trust me. Especially if you're already insecure and obsessive over your weight.
