I want to visit and experience Iran. A nation with it's rich culture and ways of life. I hope you enjoy this lovely post on Iran as much as I. Wonderful writing.
Hi Rosh.. I'll use this comment section to clarify myself if you don't mind.. :)
Sorry for the sudden disappearance.. I just had to delete everything that has to do with my gmail account including my gmail account.. I have my valid reasons behind it.. no need to discuss it here in public..
I'm enjoying my stay in Vermont.. Burlington is such a beautiful place.. the lake is just amazing.. I don't wanna leave the place ;)
Might just fly to NYC next weekend.. will see how it goes with regard to my work license first ;)

iran really is a wonderful place; i havent visited, but i know lots of family and friends that have, and yes, they all say its amazing. get there before the US decides its getting too dangerous and then its too late
Sorry folks - I've been involved with one of a kind project from hell.....designed by evil lord lucifer! it's taking all my time...that and something on the personal front, has kinda turned my simple life upside down the past few weeks...
thanks to ya'll for stopping by and saying something..always nice to hear a voice/word :)
am fine (i think?) very very tempted to take off this weekend and go home. in fact am pretty much considering boarding an Emirates flight straight into UAE saturday morning - call it impromptu or plain crazy. feels right plus they are flying the new A380-800 in and out of JFK, that's an added incentive/push :) kinda just waiting for the first set of draft numnbers on this freaking deal, hopefully today or tomorrow -and then am gone for a week or 2 weeks. yipeeee!
well in that case IYM may i have your uncle's address please? :)
i ain't doing this stealing thingy...i know of people who know people that were part of the former Al shaab gangsta in deira :) one of 'em is a dxb cop now..am sure, once i give them the green light they can do the necessary and ship to you :)
I lived in IRAN for 10 years or so. This was during the Shah's regime. It was an amazing country and an amazing time. The places, the food, the culture. The hospitality of the Iranian is such that even if he stabbed you he would do it with such sweetness that you would only ask for it to be twisted deeper. 30 years later UAE is today, what they were back then but without a lot of the things. And on that: Salaam Agha jaan, Chettorri? Khoobi? Mann? Khoonay hasttam. Ya3ni? IM BACK!
Christ! this is shocking! Sask/Manitoba of all places?? This is unbelievable! American movie lunatics have moved into real life Canadian countryside!
I bet, the monster came from Toronto or Vancouver!
You not to worry IYM - Ottawa is the safest place in whole of Canada and the continent :) chillax - and focus on passing that driver's test - I've passed on the word to my people in Deira, who know people that can get the "job" done ;) shall keep you posted lol :)
Ahlan Kaya-g. Where did you live whilst in Iran? I've always wanted to visit. I have more than a few Persian friends in the UAE and must say, all that you've said is very true - the culture, the food, the music, a naturally "royale" air and a bit natural innocent arrogance/pride. Unique, strong and very culturally, Iran. Every year when I head home for Christmas I make plans to visit places, I've never been to -Iran and the Taj Mahal tops the list :)
Rosh, I just read Marjane Satrapi's 'Persepolis' - the cartoon autobiography the movie's based on. Get your hands on it of you can, absolutely worth it whether you like Iran(ians) or not. But especially if you do.
We lived in Tehran, on the airforce base. My mother taught English to the cadets. I still remember so much from back then. It was a beautiful time. Saw Shiraz,Isfahan, summers on the Caspian sea..... sigh....

Rosh.. steel one of my uncle's cars and bring it with you ;)
what cars does your drive or collect i.e. i just wanna make sure they are worth "stealing" hehhe :)
rosh, trust me, her uncle has expensive taste.. just steal the easiest one.. don't "steel" it... do it properly.. hahaha
i bet you can even steal the driver's car and IYM will be happy, desperate times call for desperate measures :P
well in that case IYM may i have your uncle's address please? :)

Uncle lives across the street from BuJ's house in Dubai ;) But he'll be moving out soon..
And yup I don't mind you 'stealing' one of his properties for me.. we're one family afterall and I'm his favorite ;)
I promised him I'll find him a pretty Libanese wife as his second.. so he wouldn't mind if he wakes up one morning minus one car ;)
hahaha! christ, IYM, you are hilarious! :)
