Yes it's all good - I just miss the old "home" I grew up in. It's so hard to let go you know - especially when the change is so rapid. You are correct though - must go with the flow, it's all good :)

Yup BuJ - I am not Muslim, but the sight of a mosque and a moon next to the mosque, makes me very homesick or when I hear a call for a prayer in NYC :)

ahhhhh to you to Mr LE - I know what you mean:) Yes UAE is much much safer than anywhere in North America - there's just no comparison and yup it's all good and for the better.

I shall continue with the reconciliation process, but am not ready to let go off my sentiments/perception of "home" - not just yet :)roshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03271894997251528158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30314270.post-86398986808639390042007-05-25T16:10:00.000-07:002007-05-25T16:10:00.000-07:00aaaahh rosh seems like every post one of us make t...aaaahh rosh seems like every post one of us make the other has very similar experiences/ideas....

AS buj said, I know exactly what you mean. When I came back it felt like I had walked in to my house to notice that all the rooms were rearranged and the furniture was completely different. It was still my house but I couldn't recognise it.

And that is how Dubai has become. Honestly though I still think Dubai has paid a small price for such a rapid development. Dubai is still a VERY safe city if you compare it to any other major metropolitan city ( take NY as an example!).

There are two constants in life, death and change. Personally, I am very acceptant of positive change. As a whole, Dubai has changed for the better but it took me a while to get used to it. In fact, to be brutally honest, after a almost a year back it there is still that flicker of doubt within me. But I notice that it diminishes day by day.LocalExpathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15850197930133290593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30314270.post-26005287680710636562007-05-25T11:04:00.000-07:002007-05-25T11:04:00.000-07:00i know EXACTLY what you mean.. when i am in london...i know EXACTLY what you mean.. when i am in london i remember i'm always excited when i see a kandoora arab or abaya.. and i stare.. homesick.. but i caught myself doing the same in the UAE!!! it's sad.. but positive in that people want to know more about people like usBuJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04155592127392703647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30314270.post-77376060300347128512007-05-24T18:08:00.000-07:002007-05-24T18:08:00.000-07:00Welcome to UAE again Rosh.. that's where you belon...Welcome to UAE again Rosh.. that's where you belong..
Positive thoughts means positive feelings.. and vise versa
Have you heard of 'globalization' by any chance ?
Enjoy it..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
